After a misty or foggy start in parts, today will bring variable cloud with good bright or sunny spells and some scattered showers.
The showers will be mainly over Connacht and Ulster. It will be dull at times in the Southeast.
Top temperatures will be 9 to 12 degrees in a light to moderate West to Southwest breeze, stronger along Northwestern coastal fringes.
Tonight will be cold over Southern parts with some frost and fog, further North frost is less likely with more in the way of cloud and some breeze and with a few showers continuing.
Lowest temperatures 2 to 5 Celsius.
