A woman in her 70s has been seriously injured after being struck by a car in the Crumlin area of Dublin.

The incident happened on Sundrive Rd beside Sundrive Park at 7.15am this morning.

The woman was struck by the car as she crossed the road.

She has been taken to St James' Hospital where she is in a serious condition.

The driver of the car was uninjured.
