Two men arrested in connection with a drug seizure in Kilkenny

Cocaine with an estimated street value of €40,000 was seized

Two men have been arrested in connection with a drug seizure in Kilkenny.

During an initial surveillance operation, cocaine worth €17,500 was seized.

In a follow-up search of two houses, more cocaine with a street value of €24,000 was found.

Both men - aged 25 and 33 - are being held at Kilkenny Garda station under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

A total of 40 people have been arrested since February as part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of controlled substances in the Kilkenny/Carlow district.
