A South African model who starred in the Irish version of First Dates will stand trial in January for the alleged harassment of Dylan McGrath.

Daphney Sanasie, currently of Jamestown Road in Dublin 8, is accused of harassing the celebrity chef on various dates in September and November of last year.

The 26-year-old starred in the first episode of First Dates Ireland under the name Federica.

She is currently living in Dublin but the court heard previously that she was almost finished her studies and was eager to move home to Cape Town.

Ms. Sanasie's trial was due to begin last month but had to be postponed because Mr. McGrath was unable to attend due to a back injury.

And the court heard today that he will not be able to attend before Christmas, so January 20th was pencilled in instead.

Two phones have been forensically examined as part of the investigation.

A hardcopy of the contents was supplied to the defence who were previously denied an order to have them independently analysed.

Ms. Sanasie was remanded on continuing bail until her trial gets underway.
