Monday's weather: Sunny spells today, but touching freezing tonight

Today

Most of the country will be dry today with sunny spells - however, along the south coast it will be cloudier with patchy rain and drizzle at times.

There will be isolated showers in the northeast for a time too.

Highest temperatures this afternoon will be between 10 and 13 degrees with light to moderate northeast winds.

Tonight

Tonight will be cold and frosty with clear skies and light winds although it will continue generally cloudy along the south coast with patchy drizzle.

Lowest temperatures between 1 and 3 degrees - but touching freezing in places.

Temperatures not dipping below 7 to 9 degrees along the south and southeast coast.
