Cool, mainly dry and bright today with sunny spells. Some scattered showers are likely to affect parts of the northeast, east and later the south, especially the coastal fringes.

Breezy in the south and east and feeling cool overall with highest temperatures 10 to 12 degrees Celsius.

Winds moderate to fresh, easterly increasing strong for a time along the south coast.

Tonight

Rather cold in many places tonight with a mix of cloud and clear periods and the odd shower, lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees Celsius.

Cloudier and milder in the south with some rain developing along parts of the south coast overnight.

Winds falling off moderate overnight.
