A number of speakers shared their abortion experiences at a Pro Life Campaign National Conference this weekend.

The theme of this year's conference was 'From Heartbreak to Hope'.

The group also launched a new video, featuring a medical student who decided not to have an abortion.

It follows a 'Repeal the 8th' protest which was organised by the pro choice campaign in Dublin two weeks ago.

Thousands of people took part in the march, calling on the Irish Government to legalise abortion.

While the Citizens' Assembly on the issue, led by Supreme Court Judge Mary Laffoy, will meet for the first time on Saturday October 15th.

Cora Sherlock of the Pro Life Campaign believes if a referendum is held on the matter, Irish people will vote in favour of keeping the amendment.
