Lord Mayor of Dublin Brendan Carr has announced a public forum on inner city crime for tomorrow night.

The event at City Hall will give the public an opportunity to voice their opinions on the matter.

Kieran Mulvey - who is serving as head of the Government's inner city task force - and gardaí will be in attendance.

You can find out more about the forum on the council's website.

It comes amid the ongoing Kinahan-Hutch feud which has left 10 people dead, with the majority of the shootings having taken place on the streets of Dublin.

Brendan Carr spoke to Newstalk Breakfast, and observed "the one thing we don't want out of this meeting is politicians getting too involved in it."

He explained: "Every time something happens in the city, it isn't only affecting the specific community in the north or south inner city - it's affecting the whole city.

"People feel it's their city, their streets, and they want to stop their streets being used as a playground for these criminals."
