Police in the US have arrested a suspect following a fatal shooting at a shopping centre in Washington state.

Five people died after a gunman opened fire at a department store in Burlington on Friday.

Four women were killed and one man who suffered life-threatening injuries in the shooting on Friday evening died later in hospital.

All of the victims were found in the makeup section of a Macy's department store.

A prayer service has been held for the victims.

The man has been named by police as 20-year-old Arcan Cetin.

He was arrested after being seen walking along a road by officers, who say he was taken into custody "without incident".

Mr Cetin's vehicle has also been recovered, and police say they are obtaining search warrants for his residence.

Police say the motive for the shooting at the Cascade Mall, 65 miles north of Seattle, is unclear.
