But clearer weather, with scattered showers, will gradually extend from Connacht, west Munster and northwest Ulster.
Strong southerly winds will continue to moderate. Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees.
Breezy, windy in western areas tonight with clear periods and scattered showers in many areas overnight.
Overnight lows of 8 to 10 degrees Celsius in fresh southwest to west winds, strong in western and northwestern coastal counties.
