Friday's weather: Highest temperatures will be between 15 to 18 degrees
Today will be increasingly windy with southerly gales developing along Atlantic coasts.
A status yellow rain warning will come into effect for three counties from midnight.
Over 25mm of rain (and up to 40mm in mountainous areas) is expected over a 12-hour period tomorrow in Galway, Cork and Kerry.
Otherwise, western parts will be mostly cloudy today with some rain developing.
There will be a lot of dry weather elsewhere, apart from the odd shower, with some morning sunshine, though it will turn overcast everywhere later on with some patchy drizzle.

Rain will become persistent and heavy in the west with the risk of local flooding. Minimum temperatures will range from 12 to 14 degrees.
