Security guard wounded after attack on Israeli embassy in Turkey

It is reported one person has been wounded in an attack on the Israeli embassy in Ankara.

Turkish media says an attacker was stabbed in the leg at the entrance to the building after an attempt to stab someone.

The Israeli foreign ministry says a local security guard was shot near the embassy - and that its staff are safe.

While CNN Turk is reporting a suspicious package near the premises is being examined.

It also reports that the attacker shouted "We'll stop bloodshed in the Middle East".

The attacker has also been named locally.
