The annual parade by frontline emergency and security personnel is taking place in Dublin this afternoon.

Ambulance workers, gardaí, RNLI & Coast Guard members, fire crews and more are among those marching in today's event.

The parade is making its way from Parnell Square to Trinity College this afternoon.

This year's event is honouring Coast Guard Caitríona Lucas - who lost her life off the Clare coast on Monday.

All parties marching in today's parade will wear black arm bands as a mark of respect.

A book of condolences - manned by Coast Guard personnel - will be open to the public in Trinity until 4pm this afternoon.
