Gardaí appealing for witnesses after fatal crash in Wexford

A man died yesterday evening after his motorcycle collided with two cars

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road collision that claimed the life of a man in Wexford yesterday evening.

The accident happened on the N11 between Wexford Town and Enniscorthy shortly before 5pm.

A 46-year-old motorcyclist was fatally injured when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with two cars. 

He pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to University Hospital Waterford. 

A man, a woman and a young boy involved in the collision were taken to Wexford General Hospital as a precaution. No other injuries were reported.

A garda family liaison officer has been appointed in this case.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, particularly those who were travelling on the N11 near Ballyhogue between 4.30pm and 5pm, to contact them at Wexford station on 053 9165200 or the garda confidential line on 1800 666111.
