Updated: Arrest made after shooting on Dublin's northside

No reports of any casualties

Gardaí in the Bridewell are investigating a shooting incident, that occurred at Drumalea Road, Dublin 7 on the 2nd Sept 2016.

At approximately 5.25pm a mle was approached by another male with a firearm on Drumalea Rd. The first male fled into his back garden and into his house.

A number of shots were fired as he entered the house. He was uninjured and the shooter fled the scene in a red car, driven by a second male.

A car was recovered on fire a short time later at Regal Park, just off Blackhorse Avenue. Both scenes are currently preserved for a forensic examination.

A 32 year old man was arrested and is being detained at Store St Garda station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.
