Thursday's weather: Outbreaks of rain as September gets off to cloudy start

It will be mostly cloudy today, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle spreading eastwards, and becoming persistent in the southwest and west.

Southerly winds are set to freshen in many places but later veer southwest and moderating. It will be rather mild, with highest temperatures between 16 to 19 degrees.

Rain and drizzle will clear eastwards tonight, leaving just isolated showers in the north and west, and cloud will tend to break.

Winds veering southwest to west will decrease light to moderate and it will stay mild, with lowest temperatures ranging from 10 to 13 degrees.
