Three arrested after early morning burglary in Kildare

A 19-year-old man and two male juveniles are currently in custody at Naas Garda Station

Three men have been arrested in connection with a burglary in Kildare, which occurred earlier this morning.

At approximately 3.30am three males gained entry to a convenience shop on the Dublin Road in Kildare Town.

They took a quantity of cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene in a car.

Gardaí then stopped and searched a vehicle on the Naas Road in Dublin, close to the Red Cow roundabout.

A 19-year-old male and two male juveniles were arrested and are currently detained at Naas Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

A quantity of cash and cigarettes was also recovered.
