The morning will begin cloudy with patches of mist and fog. Leinster and Ulster will see outbreaks of light rain and drizzle also.

Met Éireann has said sunny spells will follow from the west however, as the rain and drizzle is due to clear for the afternoon.

Temperatures will feel nice and warm with highs of 17 to 20 degrees.

Unfortunately, the rain will return again tonight as heavy showers will develop in the northwest.

These will extend across Ulster, Connacht, west Munster and the midlands overnight, but the east and south Leinster will stay mainly dry.

Overnight temperatures will be cool and comfortable at 12 to 14 degrees.
