It will be brighter and fresher in the west, and that weather will move across to all areas by early afternoon bringing some sunny spells and a few showers.
Temperatures won't be as hot as our mini heatwave, but they will range between 18 and 22 degrees, highest in the east.
Met Éireann said yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far with highs of over 30 degrees recorded in parts of Roscommon.
It should feel cooler tonight with temperatures between 12 and 25 degrees. It will also be dry with the odd isolated shower.
As the night goes on it will get cloudier in the west with outbreaks of rain arriving by morning.
