The Obama Administration released the figures on Friday
President Obama has stated that between 64 and 116 civilians have been killed by U.S. drone strikes in the period since he took office.
The administration released the figures on Friday which was, according to AP, the first official public assessment of the death toll of the strikes and other assaults on zones in Pakistan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and North Africa.
Drone strikes have been a key part of Obama's counter-terrorism tactics, but the figures do not include those who have been killed in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq.
The figures have also been criticised as falling far short of the real number, which human rights groups believe will be much higher even before the inclusion of the military activities which have been focused on those areas.
