Gardaí renew appeal for witnesses to Dublin city centre assault

Gardaí investigating the assault of a male in Dublin city centre at the weekend are renewing their appeal for witnesses.

A man in his 30s was found unconscious by a member of the public shortly before midnight on Saturday, June 25th. The victim was found with serious head injuries, close to the entrance of a pub on Dame Lane.

This morning, a man in his late 20s was arrested arrested in connection with an assault, and is being held at Pearse Street Garda Station.

Gardaí say they are particularly interested in speaking with a number of people who stopped and assisted the male after he was assaulted.
