Woman released without charge after seizure of cannabis and anti-anxiety tablets

Gardaí found drugs with combined street value of €20,000 at Limerick house

A woman in her late 20s has been released without charge following a drug seizure in Limerick.

The woman had been detained after gardaí found €20,000 worth of cannabis herb at a house in the Catherdavin area of the city last night.

Anti-anxiety Xanax tablets with an estimated street value of €9,000 were also discovered during the operation. 

The suspect, who was arrested at the scene, was held at Roxboro Road garda station under section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.
