Gardaí in Dublin are investigating a shooting incident in Crumlin at approximately 4am this morning.

A man in his 30's was discovered with a gunshot injury on Monasterboice Road.

He was taken to St James's Hospital with injuries described as 'non life threatening'.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and investigations are on-going.
