A man arrested in connection with the death of Eddie Hutch has been released without charge.

The man aged in his mid-40s was detained by detectives in the west Dublin area on Monday.

He was released without charge this evening, and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Mr Hutch, a 58-year-old Dublin-based taxi driver, was shot dead at his home on Poplar Row on February 8th.

His killing was in apparent retaliation for the murder of David Byrne at the Regency Hotel.

Mr Hutch was a brother of Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch.
