Neil Gaiman's Likely Stories, Thursday, Sky Arts, 9pm

The first two of four adapted short stories, 'Foreign Parts' and 'Feeders & Eaters', by author Neil Gaiman, and they look like skin crawlers to say the least. Jarvis Cocker has written the soundtrack too, which draws us right in.

The Disappearance, Saturday, BBC4, 9pm

In this new French drama set in Lyon, seventeen-year-old Lea Morel suddenly goes missing, and the investigating police find themselves facing a suspicious group of friends and family.

Film of the week

Father of the Bride, Saturday, BBC2, 2pm

In this Oscar nominated comedy classic from 1950, a  middle-class lawyer's daughter Kay (Elizabeth Taylor) announces that she's getting married, turning her father's life on it's head.
