Woman burnt in UK hot air balloon crash

It is thought the balloon may have hit power cables

A woman has suffered burn injuries after a hot air balloon crashed into a field in Britain.

Police said the crash happened at around 7.30am in Northamptonshire near to Earls Barton, Wellingborough.

It has been reported that the balloon may have hit some power cables.

Photos taken at the scene showed an air ambulance and a number of emergency services vehicles.

The woman, who was on board the balloon, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital to be treated for her injuries.

The UK Air Accident Investigation Bureau is now looking into the incident.
