Sunday's weather: Dry to start, with thundery downpours later

Many areas dry and sunny this morning but heavy showers in places will develop widely with some thundery downpours and surface water flooding.

A rather cool day with highest temperatures just 12 to 15 degrees, in moderate to fresh west to northwest winds.


Heavy thundery downpours in places early tonight will die out to give an otherwise dry night with clear spells.

Quite cold with lowest temperatures 2 to 6 degrees with patches of frost and fog developing.
