A herd of cattle is reported to have caused traffic delays on the M1 motorway this morning.

The farm animals brought traffic to a standstill close to Lisburn after they were spotted walking along the outside of the motorway at around 7am.

Emergency services arrived at the scene to escort the cattle off the road and traffic has since settled.
