Early mist clearing this morning. Some warm sunshine will develop in parts of Connacht and Ulster, cloudier further south and east, but there will still be some hazy sunny spells in places. Dry in most places this morning but there will be some rain near southern coasts. The rain will edge further north through Munster and south Leinster during the afternoon and evening and some thundery showers could well break out in midland areas also.
Highest temperatures will range from 15 or 16 degrees Celsius in southern areas to 21 or 22 degrees Celsius in northern parts.
Mild and humid with rain or showers mostly over the southern half of the country tonight, possibly thunder early in the night, but drier periods developing. Mostly dry further north but becoming misty with some fog patches.
Lowest temperatures of 11 or 12 degrees Celsius in light easterly breezes.
