Major works will take place in Dublin City tonight, as part of the Luas Cross City project.

There will be lane restrictions on Bachelors Walk, O'Connell Bridge, Burgh Quay and Westmoreland Street from 9pm until midday tomorrow.

Heavy traffic is expected on approach to the works on the North Quays, South Quays and Dame Street.

Drivers are advised to make themselves aware of the closures and plan alternative routes in advance.
