Injured man was taken to hospital following early morning attack
A 16-year-old has been charged with the assault of a young man in Dublin earlier this week.
The male teenager was arrested yesterday following the attack at the junction of Dame Lane and Trinity Street in the early hours of Monday morning.
A 21-year-old man received serious injuries to his face in the incident, and was taken to St James's Hospital for treatment.
The accused is due to appear before the Children’s Court in Smithfield this morning at 10.30am.
He has been detained at Pearse Street garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
