The two men who died in a house fire in Macroom in Co Cork yesterday have been named locally.

They were 26-year-old Kenny Relihan and Noel O'Mahony, who was aged in his early 60s.

They died when a fire broke out in the two-storey house at St Colman's Park in Macroom at around 4.00am on Sunday morning.

The blaze was spotted by a local man, who raised the alarm.

It is understood a woman, who is in her late 50s, jumped from an upstairs window of the house.

She was later taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital, where she remains in a serious condition.
