Bruton announces 300 new jobs for Waterford and Dublin

Some 300 new jobs have been announced today in Waterford and Dublin by Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton.

In Waterford, OPKO's Eirgen Pharmaceuticals is creating 200 new jobs over the next 5 years.

Healthcare company OPKO plans to create 200 highly skilled jobs over the next five years through the expansion of its EirGen Pharma facility in Westside Business Park in Waterford and a new product development centre in the Waterford Business and Technology Park.

Established in 2005, EirGen Pharma is involved in the development and commercial supply of specialised oncology products.

Meanwhile, 100 digital marketing jobs will be created over the next two years at Search Optics in Fumbally Square in Dublin.

Search Optics provides a digital marketing platform to the some of the world's leading blue chip companies.
