Temperatures are expected to soar to an unbelievable 17 degrees tomorrow - and the rest of the week is expected to be mostly dry and sunny.

According to Met Éireann, sunny spells are also expected to develop later on Tuesday afternoon, with temperatures reaching 11 to 15 degrees.

Thursday will stay dry and sunny in most areas but patchy rain is possible – especially over parts of Cork and Kerry.

Temperatures should stay in the mid-teens for much of the country but may drop to the low teens over Munster and southeast Leinster.

And about bloody time too, you might say.
