Gardai appeal for witnesses to armed robbery in Cork service station

The incident took place on Monday evening

Gardaí are investigating after a service station in Cork was robbed at gunpoint yesterday evening.

A lone male demanded cash from staff at the station in Brooklodge, Glanmire, County Cork at around 7.15pm yesterday evening.

He left the shop and fled in a wine coloured Fiat Punto which was found abandoned last night at Templenacarriga in Midleton.

The culprit is described as being 6ft tall of athletic build and was wearing a light grey and black hoodie with black tracksuit bottoms.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
