Some good sunshine at times today, especially to begin and end the day. However it will still be rather windy and brisk northwest winds will begin to steer down a scattering of showers, some heavy with slight risk of thunder. Later in the day, winds will ease and showers will become confined mainly to the north.
Temperatures will improve a little on recent days, with highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees Celsius. Winds will be fresh to strong and gusty northwesterly, moderating towards evening.
Showers will become isolated early tonight with mostly dry clear weather following, along with just light westerly breezes.
Cold, with overnight minima ranging 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. Later in the night cloud will increase, bringing rain and drizzle to Atlantic areas, in freshening southerly winds.
