Three people escaped injury in Armagh on Wednesday morning after a car was set on fire and then pushed up against a house which was then set alight.

The residents, a couple in their 60s as well as a man in his 30s, were able to exit the house safely. A number of nearby homes were also evacuated by police as a precaution while the authorities worked on tempering the blaze.

A spokesperson for the PSNI says that vehicle appears to have been "deliberately pushed up against a house which then also caught fire." The police are currently investigating the arson attack.
