Ambulance drivers to vote for strike action

The ballot will take place at the end of the month

Ambulance workers in the HSE will be balloted for strike action.

This is in relation to the failure of the Health Minister to publish a Capacity Review.

Addressing the AGM of the SIPTU Ambulance Sector today SIPTU Health Division Organiser, Paul Bell said 'Minister Varadker's refusal to publish this review leaves members with no option but to ballot for strike action'.

The SIPTU members will be balloted in all grades of the ambulance service by the end of April.
