Post-mortems to take place on father and son found dead in Dublin stream

An investigation is under way after the discovery of the bodies of a father and son in a stream in Ashtown, Dublin (RollingNews.ie)

Post-mortems will be carried out on the remains of a father an son found in a Dublin stream yesterday.

Their deaths have been described as a 'tragic accident'.

The 30-year-old man and his 3-year-old boy were discovered by a member of the public at the back of Ashington Green housing estate in Ashtown at around 3pm yesterday.

Gardaí say at this stage it appears they fell into the water and died after visiting relatives and collecting Easter eggs in the area.
