Lastest iOS update makes some older Apple devices unusable

Apple has taken steps to fix the problems, releasing a new version of the update and offering help for those affected

The latest version of Apple's mobile operating system, iOS 9.3, was released on Monday evening. While the update brings many great features, it has also created a big issue for owners of the iPad 2 and some older devices. Users who downloaded the update on the older devices have found their tablets and phones completely unusable.

Owners of the iPad 2 reported their device became "stuck" after the iOS update, unable to communicate with Apple's servers so it could activate itself.

Apple has taken steps to address the problem, releasing a new version of the update and offering suggestions for those still affected by the problems.

The company has released a new version of iOS 9.3 specifically to fix the issues with the iPad 2. That can be re-downloaded and installed, and the tablet should then be able to get back online.

Apple also said it would release another new version of iOS 9.3 for people specifically hit by that problem at some point in the future.
