Rain in many areas this morning. It will persist over much of the eastern half of the country today and will clear slowly to the northeast this evening. Further west, there'll be bright spells and heavy or prolonged showers with a risk of thunder. Moderate to fresh southerly winds will strengthen in the afternoon and become southwesterly. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees.
Clear spells and showers tonight, some heavy. Some dry periods too, the best of these in Leinster and Ulster. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 4 degrees.
