Irish Coastguard have confirmed five people have died after a car entered the water in Buncrana, County Donegal.
An infant was reportedly recovered from the water alive.
Gardai say a car entered the water at Lough Swilly from a slipway beside the town pier before 8pm tonight.
There are conflicting reports as early details are still emerging from the scene, with another infant reported to be among the five dead.
It's understood a family might have been in the car at the time.
