Two men seriously injured in Co Cork collision

A car and a jeep collided at roughly 5.30pm

One man is in a critical condition and another man has been seriously injured following a collision in Togher in county Cork this evening.

The incident happened at around 5:30pm when a car and a jeep collided on the Bantry to Crookestown Rd east of Togher Village.

The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, was airlifted to CUH where he is described as being in a critical condition.

While another man, the driver of the jeep, was also taken to CUH for treatment for his injuries.

The road is now closed to facilitate a Forensic collision examination and Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to contact them at Clonakilty Garda station.
