Met Éireann has issued a snow-ice warning - with snow already reported in parts of Leinster this morning.

The forecaster says there will be sleet and snow showers ranging between 1 and 3 centimetres - especially on high ground - across Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.

The weather alert is in place until 10am.
