Thursday's weather: Dry with hazy sunshine today

Frost and fog clearing to give a dry day generally with spells of hazy sunshine - in just light variable breezes.

A few light showers will appear near the west coast for daylight hours, with more general rain arriving near west and south coasts this evening.

Feeling raw throughout, with temperatures well below normal, afternoon values will range only 4 to 6 degrees.


Cold tonight with frost and ice across the midlands, north and east.

Outbreaks of rain will continue push eastwards, with some wintry falls later, mainly for higher ground.

Lowest temperatures of -2 to + 2 degrees, in light variable breezes.
