The Tánaiste has defended two of her TDs, after photos emerged of them with Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch.

TD Joe Costello and Minister Aodhan O'Riordain - who has responsibility for drugs - have appeared in photos with the known gangster.

The photo of Mr O'Riordain emerged this morning, on the day of the funeral of murdered Eddie Hutch Senior.

However, Labour leader Joan Burton says that politicians do not know everyone they pose for photos with.
