Three men arrested over Limerick shooting last year

This brings to nine the number of people arrested to date

Three men have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Castletroy, Co Limerick last year.

55-year-old Christy Keane was shot a number of times as he parked his car in the grounds of the University of Limerick on June 29th.

Two men aged in their 30s and one man aged in his 50s were detained in Limerick earlier.

The men in their 30s are being held under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act at Henry Street and Mayorstone garda stations.

The other man is being detained at Roxoboro Road garda station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.

It brings to nine the number of people arrested so far.
