Cold and mostly cloudy today, with occasional outbreaks of rain in most areas and with a few heavier bursts in places, especially in parts of the south and southwest. Some sleet also, mainly on higher ground.
Dry intervals will occur, especially in the northeast. Maximum temperatures 5 to 8 Celsius, in mostly moderate easterly winds.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy at first with patches of rain and sleet, especially in the southern half of the country. Misty in places also, with some fog. Drier in the northern half of the country, with a few clear spells developing.
Cold, some frost where breaks in cloud occur, mainly in northern counties. Minimum temperatures 0 to 3 Celsius.
