A woman with Down Syndrome says she is too scared to go out on her own since she was lured back to a Dublin flat and raped in June 2013. Faisal Ellahi, a Pakistani man who moved to Ireland over 10 years ago, was convicted following a five-week trial that finished up just before Christmas.

The ‎Head of Communications of the Gaelic Players Association (GPA) has expressed his disappointment with the GAA Central Council motions on championship structures which ignored the type of proposals which have been long called for. One of the GPA proposals made last year which received the backing of the vast majority of inter-county squads (31 of 32 in fact) was a Champions League-style restructuring of the All-Ireland championship.
