A Belgian man linked to the Paris attacks has been arrested in Morocco, authorities say.

The suspect was arrested in the port city of Mohammedia, the country's interior ministry said.

He was held on suspicion of having direct links with some of the November 13th attackers.

The man, who is of Moroccan origin, has not been named, with authorities only releasing his initials "GA" in Arabic.

The ministry said the suspect fought in Syria with al Qaeda-linked rebel group al Nusra Front before joining Islamic State.

More than 130 people were killed in the coordinated shootings and bombings carried out by IS on November 13th.
